NOTES
Additional Information:2016- "Built for Elid Ellison, this house contains subtle features of the Greek Revival style. The house is very symmetrical and orderly as is evident by the placement of the windows. The low-pitched roof is also characteristic of this architectural style. John Shetter became the owner in 1868 and sold it to Andrew Sanderson in 1884. Other owners include William Crooks, 1890-1899; Lawrence Dolan, 1900-1904; C.A. Knause, 1905-1919; Hans Sperle, 1920-1957, and Gayhart and Pat Swenson in 1958. The house was used as a hotel at the turn of the century. Constance Berrum Elvehjem rented the flat upstairs afters she retired from teaching. McFarland resident James Domini purchased the house in 2012."
