Tan brick veneer church with stone foundation and brown wood trim. The Neoclassical annex was constructed in 1926. Meredith Brothers were the builders. Bay View Bethel Evangelical Church began in 1883 as a mission church of Salem Evangelical Church, under the direction of Rev. Traugott Umbreit. The mission erected a frame building 26' by 40' on the corner of E. Conway and Woodward. The congregation officially incorporated in 1886. The church became known as Bethel Evangelical United Brethren Church in 1946. The Bay View Assembly of God purchased the building in the early 1970s. |
