It has been the site for many businesses, including dry goods, groceries and hardware. The Olson Building has a Neo-Classical style with keystone arch windows and Italianate hood moldings. The wood siding is a later additon. McFarland residents Philip and Mary Jo Olson bought the building and sold antiques they had collected over the years. In 2015, the Olsons decided to retire from the antiques business and sell the building." -"Historic McFarland: A Walking Tour" booklet, Third printing, published by the McFarland Historical Society, (March 2016). |
