Additional Information:RUDOLPH P. BINZELL WAS ONE OF THE FOUNDERS OF THE MARSHFIELD CANNING CO.

"A building permit was taken out in May of 1926 by R. P. Binzel to erect a home in the 700 block (now 900 block) of West Fifth Street. The Tudor Revival home would be of frame construction. 26x38x24 feet at an estimated cost $7,500. In 1920 Rudolph Binzel organized the Oconomowoc Canning Company, the Medford Company in 1923 in partnership with E. P. Umhoeffer, the Marshfield Canning Company in 1924 and in 1929, the Stratford Company. Since 1924, Marshifeld, however, had been his home. He was president of the firm, until his death in 1947. He was also a member of Marshfield Lodge No. 665, Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, and the Old Guard Society of National Canners."
