As of 1925, the house served as a hospital. The Normington family lived here at one time and the building also housed Dr. Mittelsteadt's Osteopathic Clinic.

"This Queen Anne home was built by William Noll, Sr. in 1896. The home was sold to Mayor Fred Vollmar (Owner of Vollmar & Voekler Co. Store.) in 1901 and later occupied by the Frank H. Normington Family, until 1938. In 1939 the house was opened as the Marshfield General Hospital by Dr. W. W. Mittlestadt and Dr. James A Baird. Dr. Mittelstadt's Osteopathic Clinic opened in 1941 in conjunction with the Marshfield General Hospital." "West Park Street, Marshfield Historic District Walking tour"
