Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Excellent early front gabled house with later Queen Anne style decorative additions, including the full width wraparound veranda whose gablet placedd over the entrance door is sided in alternating courses of fishscale and diamond pattern wood shingles. The gable ends of the porch have intact wooden scrollwork applied to the ends. The porch also has the original turned colonettes resting on chamfered plinths, as well as the original spindlework balustrade and freize. The main facade has segmental arched windows throughout and the double entrance doors also ahve a segmental arched fan light above with decorative scrollwork added for muntins. The front doors are the originals and are panelled and have tall semi-circular arched lites. There is a flat roof bay window on the west facade which has a bracketed cornice and was probably added to the house at the same time as the porch. The rear addition is original.
