Additional Information:Erected as the William Bunnell blacksmith shop in 1867, at the northeast corner of Springdale and 8th streets. Samuel Thompson bought the shop in 1872, moved it to 105 E Main St in 1881, and to this site in 1892. Bert Hinrichs operated a blacksmith shop in this building from 1915 until at least 1966. The brick veneer was installed for Hinrichs in 1922.

1986- "This Boomtown Front building was originally located in mount Horeb's Old Town on the corner of Springdale and Eighth Streets and is the sole survinving Old Town building moved uptown. It was moved further west on Main Street in 1881, and then to make space for the first Mount Horeb bank, the building was moved to this site in 1892. It remained a blacksmith shop until 1966."
