Bibliographic References:A permit on file at the City of Ashland, dated 20 October 1939, cites Frank Tomlinson as the builder of this house; Arne Holter's name is on the permit but Arne's son Percy and his wife Sigrid Holter are confirmed as residing here by no later than 1942-43; they are not listed here as of 1940. The Holter family owned the property since 1919 and resided in the house next-door at 1004 (warranty deeds, city directories).
