NOTES
Additional Information:This two-story vernacular clapboard house combines a number of stylistic details in a haphazard manner to include a shingled and windowed front end gable and proportions of Queen Anne styles and bargeboard and picturesque plan typical of earlier architectural styles. Roofing materials are original and rare. House is very similar to 1004 Chapple Avenue (22-35).
Bibliographic References:THe lot was purchased by Laura Harper in August 1892; Laura and her husband Benjamin are cofirmed as residing here as of 1893. Tax rolls confirm its construction between 1892 and 1893. Bio sketch on Harper in Comm. Bio. Record of the Upper Lake Region (1905), 325.
