Additional Information:PAIRED BRACKETS UNDER EAVES. SEGMENTAL ARCHED WINDOWS. QUATREFOIL WINDOW IN GABLE. WIDE PORCH ACROSS FRONT. DR. SHARPE WAS A MEDICAL DOCTOR AND PHAMACIST. HE WAS NATIONALLY FAMOUS FOR RAISING CHEVIOT SHEEP FROM SCOTLAND. THE NON-SCRATCHING WOOL WAS SEWED BETWEEN MUSLIN CLOTHS AND PLACED ON THE PART TO BE TREATED. THIS WAS A VALUABLE AID IN FIGHTING PNEUMONIA. HE LIVED HERE FROM 1917 UNTIL HIS DEATH. SHARPE COMMENCED HIS MEDICAL PRACTICE IN MT. VERNON IN 1907. IN 1908 HE MARRIED AGNES HANNAN OF CHICAGO. AS OF 1890 MRS. WILLIAM DONKLE OWNED THE HOUSE; IT WAS PART OF A 70 ACRE FARM.
