The Christian Science Society in Neillsville was formed 20 September 1911. The cornerstone of this church was laid on 19 August 1916. Built to design of L.J. Corbey of Chicago. Builder was William Free, a local builder.

2016- "Chicago architect L.J. Corbey and Wm. Free designed this Neoclassical Revival structure in the form of a Greek cross (arms of equal length) for the Neillsville Christian Science Society. The local Society was formed in January of 1912 and by 1916 membership had increased such that it became necessary to build a church. Green opalescent art glass windows shed diffused light thoughout the interior of the auditorium. Four Massive 15 foot high unfluted Roman Tuscan columns support the prominent gable pediment. This small church has a tremendously large presence."
-"Neillsville, Wisconsin Historical & Architectural Tour", Prepared by the Neillsville Historic Preservation Commission, 2016.

Ground was broke for this new church building on August 19, 196 and the first services were held on January 24, 1917. The Land was donated by Wells Harvey and the final construction costs were approximately $7,500. -2019 Calendar Neillsville, WI - History Lost, Presented by the Neillsville Historic Preservation Commission
