Additional Information: | Joyhn Currier was engaged in lumbering on the Black River and one of the first settlers of Neillsville coming from Maine in 1852. Currier was also a carpenter, and he supervised the construction of many of the finest buildings in Neillsville. Having never married, he lived here until his death in 1898 with his sister Sophronia. Jefferson Schuster, a lawyer with the law firm of "Schuster and Campman" purchased the home around 1900.
