SWISS CHALET, SIDING LOOKS LIKE LOGS; In 1949, Herman Heidiger imported two Swiss carpenters to help him construct his authentic Swiss chalet. The home features a 10 ton tile roof anda "kafel ofen" (a living room warming oven supported above floor level by four legs). Tiles, window and door hardware imported by Heidiger from Switzerland.
