Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. 1ST STORY OF STONE, 2ND OF STUCCO. Lake Mills Leader reads as following for August 21, 1902... "A. W. Greenwood is having a very unique residence erected on the lake shoreon part of the property which he bought of the W. W. Ingram estate. His grounds are very commodious, and his residence will be sheltered from northern winds. The house was designed by Ferry & Clas, of Milwaukee, and will be unlike anything else in Lake Mills. The first story will be built of split or broken hard heads and the second story will be cement or shingles as may be necessary. The interior is neatly planned and will be finished in the latest style. When it is completed we hope to give a full description." |
