The original Greenwood’s Bank building was constructed in 1883. It was originally a one-story, commercial vernacular building clad in brick with a flat roof. The front (east) facade featured a rounded arch entryway and two windows with stone keystones and sills, decorative brick corbeling, and pilasters. In 1899, the corbeling, pilasters, and sills were removed and a stone veneer was added to the front facade. Other alterations include the addition of a recessed arched entryway, the conversion of two facade windows into a single rounded-arch window, and the addition of a second story that contained office space. A simple stone stringcourse separates the first and second floors. The second story is clad in brick with cut stone decorative details, such as arched headers, a relief carving with mythological creatures, and floral motifs. It has a flat roof and features a rounded arch parapet with a simple scrollwork cornice. Windows consist of a replacement bay and replacement casements.
