PHOTO OBSCURED BY TREESROUND CORNERED WINDOWS This two-story house was constructed c.1875. The house is of frame construction and is sheathed in clapboard, with a rectangular plan on a stone foundation. The low-pitched, cross-hip roof is covered with asphalt shingles with an exterior brick and rubble stone chimney on the side (east-southeast) elevation. An ell on the rear (east-southeast) corner has a shed roof covered with asphalt shingles. Windows are original, arched, two-over-two, awning sash framed with shouldered lintels. Two sets of steps lead to the full-width front porch with an open-rail balustrade and spindle posts. Four original, wood panel entry doors are spaced across the front (south-southwest) facade. The house fronts a small dam and the Scuppernong River.
