WOOD SHINGLES AND PALLADIAN WINDOW IN GABLE SQUARE CNR TURRET W/PYRAMIDAL ROOF ROUNDED CNR AND STICKWORK IN PEDIMENT OF PORCH. This two-and-one-half-story Queen Anne-style house, historically known as the R.J. Washburne House, was constructed c.1892. It is of frame construction, sheathed in vinyl siding, with an irregular plan on a stone foundation. Original asphalt shingles cover the multi-gable roof and square turret with a pyramidal roof. The front-facing gable end features an ornamental recessed arch with a Palladian window and original shingles. Facade (northwest) windows are mostly original, one-over-one, double-hung sash and doors have original leaded-glass transoms. The side (southwest) elevation features an original two-story canted bay. A wraparound-porch with a stickwork pediment over the off-center entrance follows along the facade to the side (northeast) elevation and a secondary entrance. An addition extends off the rear (northeast) and includes a shed-roof porch and one-story, single-car garage.
