2013- "The Waterloo Methodist Church, originally constructed in 1892, is a cream brick building characterized by Gothic Revival elements and a picturesque composition of gables and a tower element. The heavy, solid walls are pierced by large, pointed arch, stained-glass windows. The offset entrance to the church sits under a gable with dark wood bargeboards and half-timbering. Simple buttresses flank the entry and Gothic Revival details are carved into the tower element above. In the late 1970s a large contemporary-style addition was built on the rear of the existing church, extending it to the east. The addition maintains the original materials and color palette, but is differentiated from the Gothic Revival portion by its modern expression."
