Additional Information: | Painted arched windows with grooved window surrounds; west bay window; octagonal entrance tower with conical roof placed in angle of house; open front porch in angle of house no longer retains the original balusters and columns. This home was designed by Watertown architect Louis Charboneau for his daughter and son-in-law (James Murphy). J.B. Murphy was a successful decorator merchant, until c. 1913. It was the home of Walter Schlueter between c. 1919 and c. 1936. The application of modern siding has resulted in a loss of architectural integrity. |
