NOTES
Additional Information:Tall Late Picturesque frame clapboard two story house with front gable with hooded window projecting from central hip roof; a gabled wall dormer at side. Circular wraparound veranda appears to have been partially enclosed on SE side.

The house was built in 1888 by Sheffield & Overholser as an investment property (34/527, #8884); it was sold in 1891 to Annie Warner Wilmarth (46/16, #16016), who maintained it as a rental for another year, until selling to Joseph Patrick McCann in August 1892 (51/93, #230). Joseph McCann was a lumberman and is verified as residing here as of the 1893 city directory.
Bibliographic References:The lot was purchased in May 1888 by Sheffield & Overholser; tax rolls confirm its construction as of 1888. Evident on the 1890 Sanborn map.
