| Additional Information: | 2023: The W.H. Sharp Farmstead consists of a house, milkhouse/springhouse (245587), basement barn (245588), agricultural outbuilding (245589), machine shed or garage (245590), and a pole building (245591). The five ancillary buildings that are north and west of the residence. The milk house/springhouse, basement barn, and agricultural outbuilding are north of the residence across the drive and are placed around the livestock pen. The machine shed and pole building are east of (behind) the residence and the basement barn. The W.H. Sharp House is a two-story single-family gabled-ell residence constructed circa 1873. Two rear additions have been added to the original L-shaped plan of the house. Of the additions, a flat-roofed attached garage is visible from the roadway but does not obscure the original plan or massing of the house. The principal elevation faces east toward Hi-Lo Drive with the primary entrance in the east eave wall of the side-gabled, longitudinal ell and a secondary entrance in the north eave wall of the front-gabled, lateral ell. The foundation is uncoursed stone. The exterior has been re-clad in vinyl siding which has covered or replaced the original wood clapboard siding; however, the original wood band trim remains intact below the eaves. The cross-gabled roof widely overhangs the residence with closed eaves clad in vinyl soffit and fascia; the roof material is asphalt shingle. The windows throughout are non-original one-over-one vinyl windows with false muntins. Round arch window hoods have been added to the windows. These are non-original and are dissimilar to the original window hoods. The attached garage addition extends beyond the north elevation of the house. There is a third entrance in its east elevation.
