As of 1979, road was County Highway DE. As of 2021, it is properly addressed as Sunset Drive.

The property was owned by Welsh-born David Morris and his wife Ann in both 1859 and 1873. By 1891, it was owned by E.W. Cleaveland. A large frame wing extends from the west side of the main block.
