Additional Information:BLDG MODERNIZED IN LATE 1930S AND SIMPLE FACADE REFLECTS INTERNATIONAL STYLE' [Date Cnst:CA (SURVEYOR)] Description: This simple two story rectangular plan commercial building was originally built in the 1890's but today shows its 1939 alteration which simplified the facade and modernized it more in keeping with the style set by the Penn Block of 1939 (37-13). The upstairs is residential. The original windows are intact on the second story. Significance: This building is architecturally significant as a respresentative 1930's brick facade whose materials conform to those of historic buildings on West Second Street.
