NOTES
Additional Information:2002 - This circa-1890s, two-story house is faced with brick. Its side-gabled roof is covered with asphalt shingles and a gabled wall dormer is evident on the front (south) slope. A plain, wooden cornice encircles the structure, as well as a brick beltcourse between the first and second levels. The main (south) facade carries an open, hip-roof porch supported by four spindled posts. A clapboard-sided, canted bay is evident on the right (east) facade. It is decorated with a sawtooth cornice and carved ornaments. Fenestration is arranged singly and in pairs, and is comprised of one-over-one, double-hung sashes located in segmentally arched openings formed with projecting brick and flanked with wooden shutters. These windows are regularly spaced and obscured by metal combination storms.

The first available tax records indicate that Fred Kleunke owned this house as early as 1900. By 1905, it had been purchased by L. Laufer, Sr., who resided there unitl at least 1934. By 1940, it was owned Nicholas and Katherine (Laufer) Marx, who maintained the building into the 1950s. No information on Kluenke, Laufer of Nicholas Marx was located, but it is known that Katherine Marx lived from 1890 to 1984. Today, the property continues as a private residence.
