The WHS received a raze notice from the City of Milwaukee on 2/6/2006. 1973: "This building's present appearance is the product of massive alterations made in 1931. Originally a wood frame private residence, the house was purchased by the Lohmans in 1911. It became a funeral home in 1919. Alterations and Additions (as of 1973): In 1931 the building underwent extensive remodeling. This work included a one story addition to the rear of the existing house. Also, the exterior walls received brick veneering and Mediterranean ornament. Architect for this project was Charles L. Lesser of Milwaukee. Builder: joseph Schnuck, Milwaukee" |
