Lawler Hall at Campion College. This image was made during the Civil War when the building was used as a U.S. Military hospital. Prior to the war, it was Brisbois Hotel, built in 1857.

John Lawler, who owned the title to the building, donated it for the College of Prairie du Chien in 1866, which soon failed. In 1874 it was used for the Christian Brothers College, who in turn failed and passed it along to the Jesuits for the College of the Sacred Heart, ie, Campion College in 1880. It is now part of Campion Jesuit High School, but the building is no longer used due to its unsafe condition.
