Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Milwaukee Connector Survey, Prepared by Heritage Research (2010). 2010: This four-story, Neoclassical Revival-style, brick apartment building consists of two large blocks connected at the center. Each block contains twelve apartments. The area between these two blocks is a small garden court. Each block on the northeast side carries a centered entrance that features a large, plain limestone surround outfitted with a pair of ornamental lamps. The building is decorated with limestone quoins, decorative blocks and watertable. Fenestration consists of six-over-one, double-hung windows found in window openings containing brick lintels and limestone sills. The upper section of the building appears to be remodeled and is covered with red stucco. The first floor of the southeast facade is a commercial space that contains plate-glass windows.

Designed by the Milwaukee architecture firm Martin Tullgren & Sons, the property consists of two 12-unit apartment buildings built in 1922-23 by the Beach Realty Company for an approximate cost of $75,000. The Raulf Company served as general contractors. The face brick and common brick were supplied by Burnham Bros. and Acme Brick Company, respectively.
