Built between 1834 and 1910, this large district dates to the pioneer village of Walker's Point, now located a mile south of Milwaukee's commercial center. The district has distinct areas: 290 working class homes often in Greek Revival or Italianate style; commercial structures, Romanesque or Classically inspired areas representing many styles over a long period of development.
