"Once on Town Road 1 1/2 miles south of State Highway 143 and one mile east of County Trunk G on Elvin Butt place. Built c. 1860 by Koepsel family. Half timber, 2 1/2 stories on fieldstone foundation. Frame of white oak with nogging of buff and pink sand molded brick. Exceptionally good example of highly developed half timber construction.
