NOTES
Additional Information:Added enclosed front porch; projecting wooden triangular pediment shaped window heads; north bay window with bracketed eaves.

The first owner of the house was H. Ford; however it was soon purchased by P. Quintmeyer. This was the home of brick manufacturer Philip Quentmeyer (variously spelled) betwen c. 1875 and c. 1900. Later it was the home of contractor Edward Bartlett between c, 1913 and c. 1919.

This house has some historical interest as the home of manufacturer Philip Quentmeyer. Initial research indicates that his career is not signficant, therefore, this house does not meet the criteria for local historical significance. In the proposed historic district for this area, however, this house may be considered contributing to the overall historical significance of the district under criterion B, association with significant persons as a group.

This building does not meet the criteria of the NRHP for architectural significance because of a lack of integrity. Because of changes made to the house in 1999, it is no longer considered to be contributing to the potential district.
