NOTES
Additional Information:Sanborn-Perris maps show that while this two-story brick building did not exist in 1933, it occupies the exact site of the identically dimensioned two-story livery barn portion of a larger stone-clad livery barn/carriage barn that was long associated with the nearby Fortney Hotel. It is not known if the present building incorporates any part of the earlier one. It is also possible that this building was built after 1945, based on its very simple design.

1995- "Sanborn maps show that this two-story Twentieth Century Commercial style building occupies the exact site of the identically dimensioned two-story livery barn portion of a larger stone livery barn/carriage barn that was built ca.l896 and which for many years served the nearby Fortney Hotel (102-104 N. Main St.). It is not known whether any part of the earlier building is incorporated in the present one, which is not shown on the 1933 Sanborn map. The present building is rectilinear in plan, measures 90-feet-deep x 35-feet-wide, and its main facade faces south onto Court Street. This very simple facade appear to be largely original except for the windows and door in the otherwise intact storefront, which are modern, and the windows in the three oblong window openings in the second story above, which also appear to be modern. Otherwise, this facade is totally intact.

No other information about this building has been found and the possibility exists that it dates from after the period of significance (post 1945). 1f it was built within the period of significance, however, it is a contributing resource in the district and it is so listed pending the acquisition of more information. It now houses the Golden Comb Hairstyling Salon."
