Additional Information:DESIGNED IN THE ITALIANATE STYLE, THIS TWO-STORY RETAIL BUILDING WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1882. IT FEATURES A RECTANGULAR SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A CUT STONE AND UNSPECIFED STONE FOUNDATION, AND A FLAT ROOF WITH A FALSE FRONT. THE WALL MATERIALS INCLUDE BRICK, METAL, WOOD, CONCRETE, AND BOARD, WHILE THE TRIM MATERIALS ARE COMPOSED OF WOOD, BRICK CONCRETE, METAL AND TILE. ADDITIONS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE STRUCTURE AT AN UNSPECIFED DATE. THE NOW VACANT G. SCHAAL BUILDING, ONCE RECENTLY HOUSED HOTMAR'S ACE HARDWARE. THE F IN THE PHOTO CODE AND IN THE MAP CODE STANDS FOR FCS. ANOTHER MAP CODE FOR 602 W. WATER STREET IS GL 13/13.
