Detailed topographical and political map of the area from Lake Champlain to Albany and the Hudson River. Relief is shown through hachures. The map shows cities, towns, forts, mills, roads, lakes, and rivers. A hand-drawn red line depicts the route taken by Burgoyne's army. Small crossed swords mark the cites of battles, often accompanied by dates. A few annotation appear throughout the map, such as one below and to the right of Fort Ticonderoga reading "New road owned by the Rebels." A decorative frame borders the title cartouche. |
