Bowling Team
Five men holding bowling balls stand behind a sign identifying the 1952 A. B. C. [American Bowling Congress] Tournament. The man standing second from right is wearing a shirt with a bowling pin and the initials ABC embroidered on the sleeve. In the center of the sign is a drawing of the Milwaukee Arena, now the UW Milwaukee Panther Arena, which opened in 1950. There is also a drawing of a globe with a star identifying Milwaukee, and a line of print declaring "Largest Tournament in History." On the reverse is written "L to R Kujawa, Patten, Brumder, Wittman, Sloan." Brumder was Edward J. Brumder (1907-1998), at that time vice president of The North American Press of Milwaukee. |
