Herman and Muggsy
Herman Otto Brumder (1880-1950) standing on the boat landing of the Pine Lake home built by his father, George Brumder. Herman is holding a treat for his dog Muggsy. There are large planters on the landing, and two lights on poles. The large two-story wood frame house has an attic dormer and a one-story porch facing the lake. |

After the death of George Brumder's widow, Henriette, in 1924, the Pine Lake property was divided among their children. Ida Brumder Merker and her sister Emma Brumder occupied the house shown in the photograph. Herman owned a parcel at the southern end of the original property where he built a house. |
