Activities at the South Madison Neighborhood Center
Teenagers enjoy jitter-bug dancing at the South Madison Neighborhood Center at 609 Center Street. Jean Brown (444 Hawthorne Court) is the director of the center. The two girls dancing together are Ramona Colvin (308 Ridgewood Street) and Lorrie Dahl (929 Regent Street), who both attend the Silver Springs School. The couple in the background (left) are Sandy Johnson (2020 Baird Street) and Levi Harden (2028 Baird Street) and the couple dancing on the right are Bonita Gill (407 Bram Street) and Don Harris (413 Bram Street). Watching the dancers in the foreground are Frances Bartholomew (836 Oak Street) and Bob Kail (1855 Beld Street). All are Central High School students. |
