Main Street
Text on front reads: "Main Street. Stevens Point, Wis. Asphaltic Concrete on old macadam base. W.F. Reichardt, C.E." The old macadam pavement was not holding up well to automobile and truck traffic and the solution was to lay two inches of Texas Asphaltic Concrete on top. W.F. Reichardt, C.E. was the engineer that made the recommendation. The street is in a residential neighborhood with many trees. |
