Odd Fellows Hall
The Odd Fellows Hall, built in 1838, was the first to be built west of the Allegheny Mountains. The cornerstones were laid by P.G. Sire Thomas Widley, founder of the order of Odd Fellowship in the U.S. in 1838. The hall was later used as a family residence and finally bought and owned by the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin. In this image, three women pose in front of the building. There is a front entrance, and also a wooden walkway leading to steps that go up to the second floor on the right side of the building. |
