Included is a 2/5/1948 news clipping from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: "Firemen who arrived at the scene on 17 pieces of equipment working to control a fire last night at the Liberty Auto Salvage Co., 3628 Cass Avenue, which broke out in a one-story wooden shed at the rear of the building. Loss was estimated by Fire Chief Frank Egenriether at $21,000. The fire did not reach the one story brick addition (foreground) erected recently in front of the former residence where the firm has its offices." |
