Kittel Olson
Head and shoulders oval studio portrait of Kittel Olson, a private in Company E, 15th Wisconsin Infantry in uniform. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Iowa County, Wisconsin. On November 14, 1861, he enlisted in Dane County, Wisconsin and was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin on November 18, 1861, at the age of 24. On June 20, 1862, he was listed as being absent-sick on the muster rolls and was recorded as being moved to Stevenson, Alabama on September 9, 1863, where he died of dysentery on October 10, 1863. |
