Torger Gilbertson
Quarter-length oval studio portrait of Torger Gilbertson, a corporal in Company I, Wisconsin 15 Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Scandinavia, Wisconsin. On November 20, 1861, he enlisted in Scandinavia, Wisconsin and was mustered into service on December 20, 1862, in Madison, Wisconsin at the age of 29. He was appointed to the rank of corporal on February 1, 1862. He mustered out with Company I on February 10, 1865, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. |
