Port Wing Consolidated School
Children play on swings in front of the imposing Port Wing Consolidated School. It is two stories tall, with wood frame construction, a tall sandstone foundation and four large chimneys. The arched front entry is also stone. There is a bell tower with a finial. Cord wood is stacked to the left of the school, behind a large flag pole. This was the first consolidated school in Wisconsin. |
