This is the historic center of Cedarburg, which is renowned for its historic buildings. Constructed mostly of locally quarried stone between 1847 and 1926, the district contains 119 buildings of mixed uses including residential, industrial, educational, governmental and religious. The district contains a major collection of 19th and 20th century architectural styles representing the historic development of the city.
