Additional Information: | DEMOLISHED in 1986. The former Milwaukee Road (the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad) freight depot is a long frame structure with a brick addition on the east end. The window in this addition have been partially enclosed. The freight depot shown on the 1897 Sanborn-Perris Map is much larger than that on the preceding map. The Chippewa Valley & Superior railroad arrived in Eau Claire in 1882. This line was later known as the Chippewa Valley Division of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad (B). A depot originally stood across the street. |
