Early Sites in Southeastern Wisconsin

This article about the important Paleo-Indian discoveries in southeastern Wisconsin was written for the Wisconsin Historical Society's newsletter, Columns, in 1999 by Robert Birmingham, who served as the State Archaeologist from 1987-2004.

Since the Columns article was published, new information has come to light and the sites in southeastern Wisconsin made front-page news.
