Faunal Analysis
Comparative Collections
The Paleoethnozoology Lab primarily relies on modern faunal collections for comparative purposes. Collections include more than 100 taxa collected from the Upper Great Lakes. In addition, lab staff refer to zoological collections available at the University of Wisconsin. The UW Zoology collections include specimens from throughout the world. Archaeozoological collections from sites throughout Wisconsin also are available for comparative purposes.
