Oconto and Marinette Counties
In 1998 museum archaeologists completed an extensive corridor survey along Highway 41 for the proposed bypasses of the cities of Oconto and Peshtigo. As a result of this three year study, a total of 46 sites have been identified. These sites represent the occupation of the region from the Late Paleoindian tradition through Euroamerican settlement.
