Subsistence Lab
The Museum Archaeology Program Subsistence Lab seeks to create an integrated view of archaeological subsistence data. The floral and faunal analysts work together to reconstruct the paleoenvironment, subsistence strategy, and site seasonality.
The Subsistence Lab prepares 14C samples, processes flotation samples, sorts archaebotanical and archaeozoological remains from field and flotation collected samples, identifies the remains, and prepares inventories and reports describing the results of the analyses.
