Archives Week 2006
Wisconsin at Play
The theme for Archives Week 2006 (October 15-22) is 'Wisconsin at Play,'' the recreational activities, leisure pursuits, sports, hobbies, and games that Badger State residents have engaged in over the years. We want to encourage you to comb your archives and historical collections for items that document this off-hours part of Wisconsin life. Plan a program for your community and users that highlights your "Wisconsin at Play" collections.
As you develop your program, watch this web page for ideas, resources, and information about what other people around the state are planning to do for Archives Week. We will be building the 2006 Archives Week web offering steadily over the next ten months and hope that you visit often. We will be glad to answer your questions and direct you to sources of help for your Archives Week program, so please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for making Archives Week 2005 a grand success!
Sincerely,
Peter Gottlieb, State Archivist and Director, Library-Archives Division, WHS
Karen Kron, Program Associate, Archives Week
Archives Week is sponsored by the Wisconsin Historical Society and WHRAB with support from Demco, Inc. and Spacesaver, Inc.
