Civil War Encounters

Visitors chat with a Civil War re-enactor at Old World Wisconsin

Experience the profound impact the Civil War had on Wisconsin's soldiers and civilians. This is your chance to get up close and see exactly what a solider's tent was like, try on period clothing, play some Civil War-era games that citizens would have played to pass the time, help with relief efforts at home and lots more.

On August 23-24 we'll host a special Gone for a Soldier Weekend where you'll meet lots of re-enactors, and can experience enlisting, drilling, marching and much more!
